At JP Logistics, we take great pride in everything we do, and we’re honored to recognize ourselves as being a 100% Armenian founded and ran company. From our humble beginnings in 1995, to where we are today, our founder and CEO George Sukunyan has always been excited to share the love he has for his culture and heritage.
That being said, today, April 24th, 2015, marks an important day that we must never forget: the 100th anniversary of the 1915 Armenian Genocide by Ottoman Turks. This event claimed the lives of nearly a million Armenians living in Turkey, and it was on this day a century ago that Ottoman authorities arrested and began executing Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. The full genocide was then carried out shortly after, with countless Armenians killed or exiled upon the implementation of Tehcir Law.
The Turkish government refuses to recognize this event as a genocide, despite repeated requests from survivors and families who endured this tragedy, as well as multiple countries nationwide who do consider the event a genocide and historic tragedy.
For this reason, we ask all fans, supporters, and friends of JP Logistics to help spread the word, and recognize this event so that it is never forgotten. We must do our best to ensure future generations of our children, historic texts and digital archives all remember our proud Armenian community, and what our forefathers endured.
